Climate change impacts can be directly managed and communicated by quantifiying the environmental emissions and thier most probable sources. GHG inventory or carbon footprint assessment is a direct tool for assessing an organization’s impact on the environment. Our projects are designed to achieve the targets in reference to:

  • Kyoto Protocol defining emissions list of CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6, NF3
  • GHG Protocol most widely used international standard defining Scopes 1, 2 & 3
  • IPCC Guidelines detailing emission caluclation methodologies across all sectors
  • ISO 14064 for a structured framework on quantification, validation & verification
  • Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) aligning climate science & Paris Agreement

Sustainability assessment of electricty generation options, Pakistan

Energy in the form of electricity production has central importance in the overall growth of a nation. Industries need electricity to operate. Similarly many agricultural and transport operations require power sources. Energy is vital to achieve progress in the modern age. With increased requirement the energy production processes have become more intensive reportedly resulting in harmful ecological and environmental impacts. This particularly includes the emissions in form of CO2, CH4 and N2O (IPCC, 2023; UNEP, 2023; IEA, 2023). World Nuclear Association has estimated a mean CO2 emission level of up to 1000 tonnes per giga watt hour of electricity from thermal processes.
